We appreciate your participation!
The UNM Alumni Association is working with Harris Connect to publish a 2012 Alumni Directory. We are collecting information only for the purpose of the directory. You may receive a postcard, email or phone call from Harris asking for updated contact information. Also, you may submit a brief essay or photo. All alumni will be included in the directory with the information Harris Connect has on file, unless you have requested to be removed. Deadline for this is December 12, 2011.

1. I received a postcard/email and when I called-in
they were asking for personal information. Is this for real?
YES. The UNM Alumni Association periodically prints an Alumni Directory for our alumni. In order to print the directory, we must first update as much information as possible so that it is accurate. This is why we need you to call in to check that your information is correct. [ Back to Top ]
2. Do I need to call in to be published in the directory?
NO. All alumni will be included in the directory with the information Harris Connect has on file, unless you have requested to be removed. The UNM Alumni Association encourages you to call 1-800-829-7195 to:[ Back to Top ]
- Review the information on file to be sure it is correct;
- If you want to limit what is published; and
- If you want to be sure that what is published is correct.
3. Do I have to purchase the directory to be included in the directory?
NO. All alumni (except those who have requested to be removed) will be included in the directory. All articles/essays alumni send in will be included regardless of purchase decision. [ Back to Top ]
4. Do I have to decide on a directory purchase
when I call in to update my information?
NO. The person taking the information will want you to buy from him/her but you can call back at another time to order their directory. If you want a directory, you must place the order by December 12, 2011. No extra directories will be printed for later sales. [ Back to Top ]
5. How much do the directories cost?

- Hardbound: “Two payments of $49.99 and $11.95 in shipping,” total $111.94.
- Softbound: “Two payments of $39.00 and $11.95 in shipping,” total $91.94.
- Reunion CD: “Your class year + 2 years before and 2 years after on a CD,” $24.99 + 7.95 Shipping, total $32.94.
- A “Collector CD”: This has all years at the same cost as Hardbound, $111.94 including shipping.
6. How much of the directory money goes to UNM or the Alumni Association?
None. UNM and the Alumni Association receive no funds from the directory sales. We benefit only by having our alumni update their information. [ Back to Top ]
7. When is the deadline for updates?
December 12, 2011 is the last day to order the book or update information in the directory. [ Back to Top ]
8. How do I get my essay or photos into the directory?
After you call in to review your information, they will send you an email with a place to write your 300 word (or less) essay or note. When you return this, you can also attach a photo. [ Back to Top ]
9. Will my photos be printed?
Priority for inclusion of a photo provided by an alum will be given to those who buy the directory. If there is additional space available, other photos may be included. [ Back to Top ]
10. What if I don’t have email or know how to send a photo over the internet?
You can send your photo with all your contact information to The University of New Mexico Alumni Association, attention: Alumni Directory, 1 University of New Mexico, MSC 01 - 1160, Albuquerque, NM 87131-0001 and we will forward it to Harris Connect as needed. We would need to receive this by December 1, 2011 to meet the December 19 closing deadline. [ Back to Top ]
The value of the UNM degree is reflected in the success of our alumni. As an Association, we are interested in knowing where our alumni are and what they are doing. Every 6-8 years, we try to update information on our alumni and print a directory for those who wish to purchase one. By talking with representatives from Harris Connect (1-800-829-7195), you can make sure your information is correct and control what information appears in the directory. This is not a fundraising campaign for the Alumni Association and we do not receive any money from the sale of the directory. This is a project to update information on as many alumni as possible. We hope you will call-in to update your information or speak to the representative when they call you.
