Celebrates UNM alumni who make the world a better, brighter place – individuals who go out of their way to help others. Their acts may be small but they are inspirational. We take pride in these alumni and want to thank them -- the Aluminarios who make life shine.
Elaine Foreman, '76 BSNU: For her unmatched dedication to and countless hours of volunteering at Sandia High School.
John "Jay" Heck III, '63 BSCE: For his unflagging involvement in Kiwanis efforts to better his community.
Betty Lane, '75 BAED: For hard work on and sponsorship of Habitat for Humanity houses, especially in Guatemala.
Donna Navarrete, '98 BA, '05 PhD: For believing so strongly in the power of education, that she left a successful career to become a teacher.
Frank Sedillo, '82 BBA, '87 JD: For donating the dollars he makes in officiating weddings to UNM scholarship funds, as well as being an outstanding UNM Alumni Lettermen's Association volunteer.
Glojean Todacheene, '78 BSHE, '84 MA: For her years of serving as a leader, educator, and role model in the Navajo Nation.
