Regional Chapters . . . Everyone's a Lobo!
Join the Lobo Pack! Regional Chapters can be found in the more highly populated cities and states around the country. They provide social, service, giving and sports-related activities for alumni and friends in their chapter areas. We encourage you to check out the many opportunities to get involved. Attend an event or two . . . or give the chapter leader in your area a call to find out other ways you can participate.
Regional Chapters always welcome new volunteers and participants in their activities. Give your area chapter a call if you are interested in getting involved!
The Atlanta Chapter of the Alumni Association is an active group with a varied offering of programs, from Lobo Day Pot Luck events in the spring to Chile Roasting events in the fall. In addition, our strong student recruitment program highlights UNM to Atlanta area high school students.

The New York Area Chapter covers a wide area, including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. We hold events and activities as far away as Atlantic City, and as close as Manhattan. Our activities range from green chile events to a day at the opera, from museum exhibitions to student recruitment.
The Washington, DC Chapter has been active since before there was a Chapter. Our annual Taco Picnic has been a fixture in the DC area for over 30 years. It was combined with the Green Chile Roast to become the place to be in DC in early September. In addition we host an Annual Lobo Day event in the spring featuring a UNM guest speaker. We started the DC Chapter Endowed Scholarship a number of years ago thanks to a 'match' from the Alumni Association. Thanks to the success of our Green Chile Roast and Taco Picnic it continues to grow. We have provided small scholarships to a number of DC Area students over the years, and are looking to increase the number this year.

The Chicago Chapter consists of almost 900 UNM alums scattered throughout the metro area. Our annual chapter activities include the fall Green Chile Fiesta, Lobo Day and Basketball Parties, and a Cubs or Sox baseball game and pre-game get-together. Currently we are starting a new scholarship fund to support local students attending UNM.

The Denver Chapter is one of the first chapters formed to provide opportunities for alumni in their area to get together socially and to give back to UNM by way of student recruitment and college fair involvement. We have hosted events such as an annual picnic and auction, a green chile roast, pre-game events at Lobo football and basketball games, 2nd Saturday Lobo Breakfasts, TV viewing parties for both football and basketball, and much more. Come join in the fun! We are in a period of transition and welcome new volunteers and ideas!
Scholarships: We have completed the process of creating a Denver Chapter Endowed Scholarship at UNM. We hope our future activities will help add to the endowment which will fund Denver Chapter Scholarships for area students.
The Austin Chapter of the UNM Alumni Association prides itself on the broad programming and service aspects of their activities and programs. From student recruitment to hiking the Wild Basin; and Green Chile Roasts to Ice Cream Socials, we organize programs to suit everyone's tastes.

The Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter of the Alumni Association has a history of coordinating activities for a large geographic area. Among our many events we have organized Lobo football and basketball viewing parties, Lobo Day speakers, and social events welcoming UNM Administrators and special guests. In addition, we volunteer at college fairs highlighting UNM to area high school students. Join in the Fun!

The Houston Chapter of the UNM Alumni Association has a long history of activity and service, ranging from sports related activities and Lobo Day events to green chile roasts and student recruitment. The Houston Chapter is also very active in College Fairs around the area. If you are interested in sharing your love for UNM with aspiring college students, give Ed a call. You will be glad you did!
The Las Vegas, Nevada Chapter has a long history of activites, ranging from the annual 'Mama Ruth Dinner' to Green Chile Roasts and Picnics to Lobo Athletics events.
Scholarships: Mainly through our Chile Roast, we raised an initial $5,000 which was matched by the Alumni Association to start a Scholarship Endowment. We continue to add to the endowment following each Chile Roast.

The Phoenix Chapter is in transition, and we are looking for volunteers. Welcome to the Los Angeles Chapter of the University of New Mexico Alumni Association! Our goal is to promote Lobo Spirit. We enjoy fun and friendly social acitivites throughout the year, and participate in local college fairs and student recruiting events.
Scholarships: We have no dues, but have raised over $5,000, which was matched by the Alumni Association and put into a scholarship endowment.

The Northern California Chapter continues with our strong tradition of providing activities for alumni in the Norcal area. Thanks to a match by the Alumni Association we were able to start the UNM Norcal Chapter Endowed Scholarship benefitting local students attending UNM. We give back to the University by awarding scholarships to local students and we participate in area college fairs and student recruitment programs. Our social activities range from Evenings on the Bay, to an annual Green Chile Roast and Pot Luck in the fall.

The San Diego Chapter is an active group which organizes and particpates in numerous activities throughout the year. Among their many events are their annual Holiday get-together, the Lobo Basketball Bash each spring as the Lobo basketball team visits San Diego, and their college fair participation.
The Seattle Chapter began the tradition of green chile events with our annual Green Chile Cookoff many years ago. Since then, we have broadened our activities to include Island Getaways, Lobo Day events featuring UNM speakers, and student recruitment. Please give us a call if you'd like to help!
