New UNM Strategic Framework
UNM President David J. Schmidly has launched an initiative to set a course for the university for the next several years. For the past few months, university leadership has worked to develop a "Strategic Framework" that individual departments and programs can use as guide as they develop their plans and goals.
President Schmidly says this exercise sets UNM on a specific course for the next several years so it is important for everyone to participate in the process now as it is being shaped.

Young Alumni Toast New Alumni
Two days before their status as UNM alumni was finalized, graduating seniors were welcomed into the Alumni Association by their young predecessors. In Hodgin Hall, the UNM Alumni Center, the "young folks" swapped names and stories while enjoying music by Squash Blossom Boys, food, wine, and drawings for Lobo gear.
Aluminarios Shine
Twenty-six stars have been honored with the Alumni Association's Aluminaria Award, given for "making a difference" in the lives of others. Learn about their good deeds and nominate new Aluminarios as we select a second group of luminaries.
