Welcome, President Schmidly

On February 17, with a unanimous vote, the University of New Mexico Board of Regents named David J. Schmidly as the 20th president of the university. His first day will be June 1. Schmidly’s previous position was as CEO and president of the Oklahoma State University System. He is a former president of Texas Tech University.

Please join us in welcoming him to the UNM family! Watch for more information about President Schmidly's October 7 inauguration.
