Awards Scholarships to FIFTEEN Senior Athletes

The UNM Alumni Lettermen’s Association will award fifteen scholarships this fall. These scholarships will assist each of the fifth year athletes to complete their education at UNM.

The primary purpose of the UNM Alumni Lettermen’s Association is to provide scholarships to fifth year athletes who have exhausted their eligibility but need to complete their education. The following senior athletes will receive financial assistance to finish their degrees at UNM:  Jeff Rowland, Soccer; Maja Kovacek, Tennis; Abbie Letz, Basketball; Heather Morsilli, Swimming; Chelsea Sondrup, Volleyball; Dirk Gimm, Skiing; Gladys Weidt, Skiing; Cassidy Lespreance, Swimming; Rebecca Barras, Diving; Nicole Ryan, Volleyball; Janice Tosa, Track; Kelsey Leckovic, Swimming; Jae Choi, Golf; Robyn Miller, Swimming; and Bryan Barba, Baseball.

“The UNM Alumni Lettermen’s Association is proud to be in a position to offer awards annually.  Thanks to all our dues paying members, we were able to give fifteen student athletes a chance to finish their degrees. It is the number one mission of the Alumni Lettermen’s Association. We are proud of the accomplishments of the student athletes here at UNM; they embody the ideal student athlete”, says Rick Ronquillo, Chair of the Scholarship Committee.
