You Know You’re a UNM Alum When You …

88. Have romanced at Roma Park, both day and night.
87. Keep your LOBO basketball season tickets, and your house near UNM because even though you moved away ten years ago,  you know you'll be back.
86. Have to explain that UNM stands for the University of New Mexico, and that a Lobo is a wolf, and that yes, New Mexico is one of the 50 United States, and no, you didn't attend classes under the threat of Indian attacks and yes, the university accepts good old US dollars, and no, you don't have to speak Spanish to attend the college, and yes, your degree is valid in this country.
85. Live in Washington DC and look forward to the taco picnic and chile roast in Maryland every year! 
84. Use the name "Lobo" and the year you graduated from UNM as your e-mail name.
83. Still enjoy beating the New Mexico State Aggies in anything!
82. Teach your kids how to howl like a Lobo with your hand!
81. Wait for the sports ticker to show the UNM basketball and football scores!
80. Remember enjoying the liveliness of Yale Park, now a parking garage, on the way to the Frontier.
79. Remembers spending every Wednesday night as an undergrad at the Hofbrau on Pennsylvania!
78. Still don't know what the "Center of the Universe" really represents.
77. Remember what the old Student Union Building was like.
76. Remember that playing noon-time basketball at Johnson Center meant a chance to play against some of the Lobos.
75. Remember that finding a parking spot on campus took more time than actually being in class, unless you were willing to park and ride at the "G" lot off Lomas and University.
74. Move from New Mexico to some other state and they say your children need special shots for being born out of country.
73. Have walked around a duck pond to find other people's lost sunglasses because you can't afford them.
72. Know what a windmill known as "The Red Toothpicks" is.
71. Had a class in a building that has won architecture awards, but you couldn't find your professor’s office in it.
70. Spent time in "The Stacks" looking at cool old books that have nothing to do with your assignments.
69. Lobo Football... been there, done that...
Lobo Basketball... been there, done that too...
Lobo Soccer!  Men's and Women's games are the place to be (now that we have children that all play soccer...)
68. Cross-country skied to the 'Rock House' In the Sandias
67. Have eaten a free slice of pizza at Nunzio's
66. Have eaten a breakfast burrito and drunk a Coors at 0530 at the Balloon Fiesta.

65. Zoom in on UNM the very first time you check out Google Earth.
64. Have taken the homecoming display tour.
63. Have walked the La Luz Trail in the Sandias.
62. Have gone to Old Town to see the luminarias.
61. Have gone to the Balloon Fiesta/ride in a hot air balloon.
60. Stand out in the rain for as long as it lasts.
59. Have spent an all-nighter cramming at the Frontier during finals week.
58. Have practiced your presentations [for finals] for whoever happens to be at the Frontier.
57. Have bought a car from a campus neighbor just for its windshield parking permit.
56. Continue reading the Daily Lobo even though you graduated years ago. 
55. Go to the Welcome Back Days every year at UNM just to be a part of the festivities.
54. Need to be able to chant, "Everyone's a LOBO—Woof! Woof! Woof!"
53. Have smelled the roasting green chili from the Frontier across the street.
52. Have eatten at Lapo (La Posada dining hall).
51. Have walked (not swum, but walked) across the Rio Grande.
50. Have attended a Zozobra Festival.
49. Have applied for a job and they ask if you have a work permit/visa. All too often I find that folks in the other 49 states think NEW Mexico is part of OLD Mexico (although there was one person in New York that swore both were in Europe).
48. Have skipped class because it’s a beautiful day.
47. Have accrued student loans.
46. Have held down a part-time job.
45. Sign up for email forwarding at unmalumni.com.
44. Own at least 1 item of Lobo Apparel.
43. Have bought a bluebook.
42. Have drunk a latte at Starbucks.
41. Have sold your textbooks back to the Book Store.
40. Have played an intramural sport.
39. Have jogged around the North Golf Course.
38. Have written a letter to the Daily Lobo.
37. Have ridden the UNM shuttle.
36. Have participated in a student organization.
35. Have shook hands with Lobo Louie and Lucy.
34. Have posed for a picture with the Lobo in Tight Grove.
33. Have joined the UNM Cherry & Silver Society.
32. Have met the president of UNM.
31. Have visited another professor’s office.
30. Have gotten to know one professor well.
29. Have done pre-dawn aerobics at Johnson Gym.
28. Have attended spring Fiestas.

25. Have eatten a breakfast burrito at Golden Pride.

10. Have visited the Alumni Memorial Chapel.

 7. Have play pool at the SUB.
 6. Have seen a movie at the SUB.
 5. Have attended a Lobo football game.

You Know You're Probably An Old Time Alum When You...

 6. Hear the younger ones talking about "the Frontier" and you don't know what they're talking about.
 5. Mention "Lobo Joe's" and the younger alums don't know what you're talking about.

 4. Have had a picnic at "Supper Rock" on Juan Tabo.
 3. Have swum in the Zimmerman Gym outdoor pool.
 2. Have spent a Friday night at Okie Joe's.
