Electronic letters typically are briefer than either written or faxed letters. However, the same principles apply.

Please consider an especially important and frequently overlooked point:

PROOFREAD your e-mail messages
prior to sending them!

Many people do not proofread and, consequently, any important substantive message trying to be communicated is diminished or lost due to the unprofessional presentation.

As a reminder, NEVER use UNM e-mail to communicate with your legislator!
