Faxing Your Legislator

The same principles outlined in the written letters tips apply to letters delivered via fax.

Fax communications have a sense of urgency that a postal letter may lack.

However, fax communication is very common, so the urgency may be lost if your message is unclear.

Again, focus on keeping the letters legible, brief, and to the point.

PROOFREAD your messages
prior to faxing them!

Many people do not proofread and, consequently, any important substantive message trying to be communicated is diminished or lost due to the unprofessional presentation.
