What is life really like beyond the adobe walls of UNM?

With each spring graduation, an annual rite of passage takes place; thousands of college graduates will hit the streets in search of their first "real" job.

This unique conference is designed to teach our seniors how to be a graduate and be successful in their job search endeavors, manage their finances and learn how to utilize resources available to them.

Senior Day Conference (SDC) is a professional conference that will give you the tools you need to transition out of The University of New Mexico, build networks and resources, feel connected as a member of the UNM alumni community, and set goals that will ensure your success for years to come.

What is the Senior Day Conference?

The first annual Senior Day Conference is February 17, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the UNM Student Union Building. Senior Day Conference is The University of New Mexico's professional conference for seniors.

The University of New Mexico provides many resources and programs designed to develop leadership and personal skills for younger students, but few that focus on the needs of students as they prepare to graduate. Through research and collaboration, the idea of a professional conference seemed an ideal format to attain our objectives:

The conference will highlight workshops on career services, financial management, social attitudes and networking, alumni resources, graduate programs home buying and an etiquette luncheon.
