Wines of the Pacific Northwest
Portland/Vancouver to Spokane/Clarkston

Sail the Columbia and Snake Rivers aboard the American Empress, the largest and most elegant riverboat west of the Mississippi, to the Pacific Northwest, a region renowned for its spectacular scenery and, as of late, its wine-growing capabilities.

Your adventure begins with a stay in Vancouver, Washington, just minutes from Portland and known for its gorgeous parks, eclectic neighborhoods, and culinary scene. Before your cruise, enjoy a Premium Shore Excursion to two Willamette Valley wineries. Then, board the American Empress and journey to Astoria, where splendid Victorian homes and maritime relics mingle with delightful cafés and shops. Admire the lovely scenery and small-town charm of The Dalles, and head ashore in Stevenson, your gateway to the famed Bonneville Dam and Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum. Before concluding your riverboat journey in Clarkston, travel to Richland, and explore nearby Sacajawea State Park, the site of Lewis and Clark’s 1805 campsite. This stop also includes a Premium Shore Excursion to two Walla Walla wineries.
