The Alumni Vodcast: Community Connector Series
“Listen and be heard.”
The Alumni Vodcast: Community Connector Series was launched with the goal of adding value to the national discourse by having the difficult but necessary conversations with UNM leadership about current events that impact the University, our alumni, students and local communities.
Focusing on issues of importance to our alums, we want to highlight the thoughts and feelings of UNM leaders in the areas of athletics, healthcare, higher education and research. We hope this is the beginning of meaningful discussions with University leadership and subject matter experts that will continue for years to come.

In this episode of the UNM Alumni Vodcast: Community Connector Series, Alumni Association President Chad Cooper and President Elect Mike Silva explore the Health Sciences division of campus with Dr. Tracie Collins, professor and dean for the College of Population Health, and Dr. Valerie Romero-Leggott, vice chancellor of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
